Second edition of "Remembers Time" to raise funds to support the island of Brava
Pawtucket City, April 2, 2026 (Bravanews) - Solidarity speaks loudest among the children of the island of Brava in the diaspora. Friends of the Brava School and the Tradition Group have organized a "fundraiser" with the aim of supporting the island's schools and, at the same time, raising funds for the construction of a playground in Nossa Senhora do Monte.
The initiative, which expects to be strongly supported by the community, will be marked by an atmosphere of unity, conviviality and a spirit of mutual help. Under the slogan "Remember Time" with the goal of supporting Braves children, the event will take place on May 23, 2026 from 7PM to 12:30AM at Pilon Lefoyer, 151 Fountain St, Pawtucket, RI.
According to the organizers, the funds raised will go to directly support Brava schools on the occasion of June 1, contributing to a more dignified and motivating educational environment. At the same time, part of the proceeds will go towards a project long desired by the community of Nossa Senhora do Monte: the construction of a children's playground, offering children a safe space for leisure and development.
The promoters hope for massive community involvement, stressing that the support demonstrates the strong commitment of the Bravenses to their homeland, even if they are far away. For many participants, this action represents not only material aid, but also a gesture of love and continued connection to the island.
