Tax Authority promotes training in Fogo/Brava Region to strengthen tax literacy
Between today and the 24th, the Tax and Customs Authority (ATA) is organizing a series of training sessions aimed at taxpayers covered by the Special Regime for Micro and Small Enterprises (REMPE) in the Fogo/Brava Region.
The nationwide initiative is part of the ATA's commitment to strengthen its proximity to taxpayers, promoting a more collaborative, transparent and public service-oriented relationship, according to a press release.
In the Fogo/Brava region, the decentralized sessions aim to ensure greater inclusion and access to training for local economic agents.
According to the head of the São Filipe Tax Office, Ana Tereza Correia, in the municipality of São Filipe the sessions will take place from 09:00 to 13:00 on the 14th and 15th, at the School Delegation of the Ministry of Education, followed on the 16th by Santa Catarina do Fogo, April 20th in Mosteiros and on the 24th, on the island of Brava.
The main aim of the training is to enable REMPE taxpayers to comply efficiently with their tax obligations, while at the same time strengthening tax citizenship, tax literacy and the adoption of electronic invoicing.
The specific objectives include strengthening fiscal responsibility and the culture of voluntary compliance with tax obligations, providing support in filling in Form 107, the DPR and other procedures associated with the scheme, as well as developing practical skills in using e-Fatura, with a focus on correctly issuing electronic invoices.
The action also includes boosting the practice of self-billing, aimed especially at shipowners, fishmongers and fishermen, promoting a better understanding and use of this mechanism in everyday life.
At the same time, the "happiness invoice" prize draw will be announced, an initiative that encourages consumers to demand invoices with a Tax Identification Number (NIF), as a way of promoting tax justice.
With this initiative, the Tax Authority is reinforcing its commitment to a closer and more accessible administration, helping to strengthen relations with taxpayers and the sustainable economic development of the Fogo/Brava Region.
