Brava sport is in mourning - and the Mica family in particular

Today, the island of Brava woke up in deep sadness. The news of Djudju's death fell like a heavy silence on the hearts of the Bravenses, especially those who live soccer as part of their identity.

Djudju was more than an athlete. He wore the colors of Académica da Brava with honor, commitment and dedication, becoming the true soul of the team. On the pitch, he played with passion; off it, he was an example of respect, humility and companionship. Admired by his teammates and respected by his opponents, he left his mark not only on results, but above all on hearts.

His departure leaves a huge void in Bravense soccer. Nevertheless, his legacy will live on - on the pitches where he ran, on the jerseys he wore and in the memory of all those who shared a love of the sport with him.

The Mica family is mourning the loss of a great athlete, a major reference for the island, a true son of Brava who honored the name of his land with passion, dedication and a tireless spirit.

All teams are invited to attend the final farewell to Djudju. They can come dressed in their respective clubs' gear, as Djudju represented not just Académica, but the whole of Bravense soccer.

In this moment of pain and dismay, we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, wishing them strength to face this irreparable loss.

The funeral will take place at 3pm, leaving from his home in Pé da Rocha.

Rest in peace, Djudju.
