VISIT FROM THE EXMO. MR. MINISTER OF INTERNAL ADMINISTRATION TO BRAVA.
The Hon. Mr. Minister of Internal Administration, Paulo Rocha, was visiting Brava Island, between Monday and Wednesday, to monitor the work that has been carried out by the SNPCB, together with the municipal civil protection service and technicians from the United Nations system .
It should be noted that two days before his arrival, a Civil Protection team arrived in Brava, led by Mr. President of Civil Protection , the Major Domingos Tavares which also included two foreign experts, from the United Nations and UNFPA.
During his visit we had a meeting at the City Council to share the work being done at local and Central level and discuss all aspects to be carried out as a preventive measure.
The Minister also made visits to different locations accompanied by the Substitute President, Mr. Mário Soares and the Civil Protection team to, on the spot, monitor the work and above all listen to people's concerns and transmit information considered relevant within the situation experienced in Brava.
At this moment the situation is much calmer and in recent days the alert level, which was at 3, has been reduced to 2. However, work will continue to provide a better response if necessary.
