According to the President of the ARFB, Samuel Varela - who simultaneously serves as a municipal and national MP for the MpD - the institutional relationship has remained solid and continuous, regardless of party colors. The leader made a point of stressing that, despite the fact that the Câmara is currently led by a PAICV elected mayor, "nothing has changed in the spirit of collaboration", stating that "the Brava always comes first".

One of the most striking examples of the partnership was the provision of a bus to transport secondary school pupils. The vehicle, which was initially given to the ARFB through a donation from the Cape Verde Football Federation (FCF) around four years ago, was intended to serve as transport for sports teams.

However, given the vehicle's infrequent use for exclusively sporting activities, the association decided to put it at the service of the community, handing it over to the municipality. Today, in addition to transporting players whenever necessary, the bus transports dozens of students every day, meeting one of the island's main mobility needs.

The President of the ARFB stressed that this cooperation is an example of how sport can contribute to social and educational development, stressing that collaboration between local institutions is essential to meet the challenges facing Brava.

"When we work together, everyone wins - the young people, the athletes, the families and the island," he said, guaranteeing that the association will continue to be available to collaborate with the town hall whenever the well-being of the population is at stake.

The ARFB also stresses that new projects are being studied together, with a view to turning sport and education into even stronger pillars of local development.
