Benvindo Cruz launches "Kel Mazurkada", a musical tribute to Cape Verde and the tradition of São Nicolau

The new song stands out for its strong inspiration in the musical roots of São Nicolau, valuing rhythms and sounds that are part of the archipelago's cultural heritage. With lyrics signed by Benvindo Cruz himself, "Kel Mazurkada" seeks to preserve and celebrate Cape Verde's musical identity, at the same time as introducing it to new generations.

The arrangements and musical production were the responsibility of Kim Alves, who gave the track a careful and contemporary sound, without losing the traditional essence that marks the work. It was executive produced by Armando Madeira, through Scuta Music Prodution, a production company that continues to focus on valuing and promoting talents linked to Cape Verdean music.
