Brava: Civil Protection promotes sharing of first aid practices at ESET
The Municipal Fire and Civil Protection Service held an awareness-raising session on first aid at the Eugénio Tavares Secondary School (ESET) today, to instruct its members on how to act in the event of incidents.
In statements to Inforpress, the person in charge of the municipality's Civil Protection and Fire Service, Hélder Brito, explained that the aim of the activity was to share knowledge with employees and students, showing them how to behave in cases of need.
According to the same source, in addition to sharing experiences and instructions, the lack of material resources that the island faces was also highlighted.
"That's why it's of great value that everyone who is part of the educational establishment has the slightest idea of first aid", he stressed.
"Our intention is to have a greater number of employees and students at this educational institution with a practical idea of first aid and this will certainly be very good for the institution and also for Brava", he assured.
He also assured that in the municipality the corporation is working "hard" on training to prevent accidents.
For his part, teacher Cristiano Pereira considered that this sharing gave everyone a sense of the practice of first aid in this educational community and assured that the action was "a great initiative".
"From now on we know at least the basics of how to act in certain incidents, but I hope it won't be necessary", he concluded.
