Brava: Selector releases list of pre-qualifiers for Independence Cup
The coaching staff of the Brava Island national team today presented the list of 30 footballers who have been called up to take part in the 2025 Independence Cup in July.
Only 20 of the names on coach Ney Loko's shortlist will represent the island in the competition.
In statements to Inforpress, the coach said that the official start of the work will be next Monday, 12, with training beginning at 16:00 at the Aquiles de Oliveira Stadium in Nova Sintra.
"It's important for each player to give their best in training and show a spirit of unity and the will to win, so I'm calling for all the players called up to be present and dedicated, and this is an opportunity for everyone to show their value and commitment to the team," he stressed.
The 2025 Independence Cup, also known as the Inter-island Tournament, will be part of the activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of national independence, which will take place on July 5th.
List of the 30 shortlisted:
Goalkeepers: Danielson, Guda, Willy and Jorge.
Defenders: Patrick, Zá, Hélio and Dá.
Backs: Borra, Rubem, Djodje and Djury.
Midfielders: Deu, Deco, Drico, Jason, Homi, Sergio, Mailton, Nelson and Caju.
Forward: Fábio, Rubinho, Eldry, Junior, Tá, Alex, Dy, Ricky and Mimitxa.
