Brava: Clube do Morabeza recruits former coach with eyes on the titles of the 2019/20 season

The Morabeza team has Jorge Rodrigues as coach at this time, who had already worked for the club before, with the aim of working to regain the title of regional champion, 2019/20.

In an interview with Inforpress, coach Jorge Rodrigues said that the team has already started training and the athletes have reacted “well” to the work, giving “positive feedback”.

Questioned about his coming, he explained that Morabeza is a team that has always fought for titles, has always shown “gifts” to be champion of the island, and this year he does not escape his objective, which is to regain the title that was not possible, and that it had already been possible with him.

Hence, he added that his return to the club is to achieve this desideratum and win the championship of this sporting season.

As for the squad, he informed that it consists of 21 players, although they would like, in a championship, to have more players.

But, he justified that for the number of games that will be held in this championship, in his view, this is a “considerable” number.

Regarding the absence of the Benfica and Juventude team in the championship, he added that Brava is a small island and the number of athletes is low, in addition to the financial issue being insufficient, which may have affected the teams.

However, he stressed that with the absence of two teams, the championship will be disputed by only five, which could jeopardize the "quality" of the competition, as, he justified, the teams are less rounded in the regional championship.

To the athletes, management teams and supporters, he stressed that for him football is a whole party, and that is why he wishes a “good season” to everyone and to the athletes who try to compete at a high level, because Brava already has more ten to fifteen years that can't get past the national stage and, this year, wants to see all the teams fighting to win titles and with quality, to reach the national with a different perspective.
