Brava: ME delegation in Brava carries out mapping of children and adolescents outside the education system
The Brava Delegation of the Ministry of Education is carrying out a survey to map children and adolescents between the ages of three and 18 who are outside the education system.
In statements to Inforpress, the coordinator of the Multidisciplinary Support Team for Inclusive Education (EMAEI) on Brava, Edoneia Teixeira, pointed out that the action is being carried out in conjunction with the EMAEI on the island.
According to the same source, the survey began on the 12th of this month and is paying special attention to children with Specific Educational Needs (SEN), seeking to identify their reality, the reasons why they don't attend school and the barriers that hinder their access to and permanence in education.
The main objective is to design and implement inclusive and equitable responses, ensuring that all children and adolescents have access to education, in line with the government's priorities for improving the quality and expansion of Early Childhood Education in Cape Verde.
The Brava ME Delegation and the EMAEI call on the entire community to collaborate in order to ensure that no child or adolescent is left behind in their educational journey.
