Meeting with the Viva Brava Foundation - "Every Life Counts"
The Mayor of Brava, Amândio Brito, was delighted to welcome Brava couple Nilton Fortes and Eneida Fortes, currently based in Holland, representing the Viva Brava Foundation, whose motto is "Every Life Counts".
During the meeting, the couple presented the purpose of creating the foundation and reaffirmed their total willingness to collaborate with the City Council in the process of developing our island. The conversation covered fundamental topics such as Brava's connectivity with Fogo, the country and the world, as well as challenges in the areas of health, water, sanitation, renewable energy, education, youth, sport and private investment.
President Amândio Brito stressed that the unity of Bravenses, both on and off the island, is essential if we are to build a more developed Brava with opportunities for all. That's why we deeply value attitudes like this - from Bravenses who, with a spirit of mission, put themselves at the service of their homeland.
Visibly moved, the President said that meetings like this reinforce hope, strength and commitment to a Djabraba that makes its children proud, where every gesture of love for the land makes a difference.
