Morna Fest arrives in Brava for a Night of Musical Celebration!
Nova Sintra, November 19, 2023 - The enchanting island of Brava is about to become the epicenter of Cape Verdean music with the arrival of the long-awaited Morna Fest! This vibrant event, open to all music lovers, promises an unforgettable night full of talent and emotion.
Ten incredible artists, Carlos Matos, Baú Almeida, Maria de Barros, Solange Cesarovna, Assol Garcia, Rosa Borges, Yacine Rosa, Arlindo Rodrigues, Mário Marta and Dudu Araújo, are ready to enchant the audience with their engaging musical performances, celebrating wealth da Morna, a traditional musical genre from Cape Verde known for its poetic lyrics and engaging melody. Morna Fest will offer a unique opportunity for locals and visitors to indulge in the magic of Cape Verdean music.
The event, a partnership between Câmara Municipal da Brava and BOA MÚSICA, and other partners, aims to not only entertain, but also promote the region's musical culture. The night promises to be a true spectacle, with captivating performances that highlight the diversity and authenticity of Cape Verdean music.
