Partygoer guarantees he is ready to carry out the May 1st tradition in the Cruz area
Party planner Maney Barbosa assured today that everything is ready for the May 1st party tradition to take place in the Cruz area, but warned that the new generation is leaving tradition aside.
However, he assured that he will do everything he can to ensure that the tradition does not die, as long as he is alive and well.
“Last Sunday I got some friends together and we went to clean the paths that lead to the area and now I can guarantee that everything is ready for us to hold our party”, he highlighted.
As he recalled, this tradition began several years ago, because of a lady from the city of Nova Sintra, named Lálá, who previously lived in a place called “Tchanzinha”, located further down from the Cruz area.
“According to her report, every year her mother would make a pot of cachupa and canja, which would then be transported to the Cruz area, where it would be distributed to everyone who went there. She had said that her dream was to redevelop the place and thank God we were able to make her dream come true,” he stressed.
Barbosa concluded by appealing to young people to participate in the organization and also in the party so as not to let the tradition die out, which, he said, belongs to all Bravenses.
