The patience of the people of Brava has run out - Joao Paulo Silva
The patience of the people of Brava has run out. Once again, we are confronted with the disastrous transport policy imposed by CVInterilhas, which continues to pummel our island and relegate it to an unacceptable state of abandonment. It's an outrage to see the shameless propaganda that tries to deceive us with the promise of "ensuring connectivity at a time of celebration (Nhô San Djon Flag 2025)". This empty rhetoric is an insult to our intelligence, because the reality we live in is one of chronic isolation and constant instability in maritime transport.

No more broken promises! CVInterilhas has been a scourge for Brava, turning the connection with the other islands into a daily ordeal for Bravenses. The lack of regularity, the precariousness of the services and the constant postponements and cancellations have suffocated our economy, limited our development and, above all, put the lives and well-being of our population at risk. We are tired of being the forgotten island, the island that is only used for pretty speeches during campaign season.
We Demand Government Action and Responsibility
Where are our leaders?Where are the active voices of the Brava who should be defending the interests of our people as vehemently as they defend their own? We demand more! We demand that they take responsibility and act decisively to solve this problem, which has been going on for far too long. We don't want any more palliatives, we don't want any more patches. We want a definitive and dignified solution for maritime transport on the Brava.
This deafening silence from the political class is unacceptable. Passivity in the face of our island's suffering is a crime. We cannot allow Brava to continue to be held hostage by a transport policy that condemns us to isolation.
My Voice for Brava in 2026
Faced with this scenario of abandonment and inertia, and because I can no longer stand so much silence, I announce my full availability to run for National Deputy in 2026 for the Brava constituency. It's time to give a voice to those who have been silenced, to fight for a more connected, more developed and dignified Brava. Our island deserves better and I will be on the front line to defend its interests. We're tired of waiting; it's time to act!
