Ship Kriola resumes maritime connections on the Sotavento line from July 7th
The ship Kriola will resume maritime connections in Sotavento from July 7, after completing repairs and receiving the mandatory certificates. The vessel is now ready to return to public service.

The ship Kriola is returning to public service and should resume maritime transport operations on the Sotavento line next Monday, July 7th, according to an announcement by CV Interilhas made this Thursday.
After a period of docking for maintenance at the shipyards of CABNAVE, the ship is currently at Porto Grande, in São Vicente, in the final stages of technical readiness. The company said that although the first watertightness tests carried out after docking failed, new repairs were made to the hull and the problems were successfully solved by July 1.

With the vessel afloat again, tests and checks on the on-board systems - engines, generators and pumps - followed, steps that were considered fundamental to obtaining the mandatory certificates. On July 2 and 3, technicians from the company S&C Cabo Verde, in coordination with the maritime authorities, completed the procedures for issuing the class, navigability and flag certificates.
The CV Interilhas estimates that the Kriola will begin its journey to the Sotavento region later today, July 5, ready to resume regular connections between the islands next week.
This return represents an important reinforcement for maritime mobility in the archipelago, guaranteeing greater regularity and predictability in inter-island connections.
