Brava: Employment and Employability Network performs its fifth mission

The Brava Employment and Employability Network carried out its fifth mission today, with a visit to the target public, a balance of the activities carried out and projection of the next phase.

This fifth mission, as explained by Mário Soares, the network's focal point on Brava, had the main objective of visiting trainees in the three locations where the network's target audience is concentrated, Furna, Fajã d'Água and Lomba Tantum, to "find out the degree of satisfaction” at program level as beneficiaries of the project.

Taking into account the visits and the 'feedback' received, Mário Soares told Inforpress that the target audience made a “positive” balance, showing evidence that they want to continue to be covered by the CV081 Program.

At the end of the afternoon, the members met, where they took stock of the activities already carried out and the projection of the next phase.

For the next phase, which according to the focal point is the “most anticipated” of the program, as it is the phase for assigning community kits, where there will be two kits for trainees in the locality of Furna, one for Fajã d´Água and the other to Lomba Tantum.

Mário Soares stressed that the idea, taking into account that the medium is small, it is not advisable to distribute individual kits, as it would create a certain competitiveness among trainees, taking into account that the market is not very vast.

Hence, individually designed kits are assigned, but which will include groups of three, thus favoring trainees to work as a team.

For the next few days, he added that a training course in cooperativism and associations is already planned, starting on 21 October and, subsequently, in small business management, where the target audience will learn all the techniques of registering recipes and expenses, so that the business for self-support is something “very viable”.

Mário Soares appeals to all entities on the island to be part of the network, in order to take the program further, for the good and development of Brava.
