The training is part of the national strategy for social and productive inclusion, with the main aim of training municipal technicians and vulnerable beneficiaries, promoting their insertion into the job market, the development of small businesses and the reduction of social exclusion. The program is often supported by international partners such as the World Bank.

Among the actions carried out, family support stands out, with the skills of local teams being strengthened and the introduction of new social management platforms, enabling closer and more effective support for beneficiary families.

Technical training was another central axis of the training, covering practical areas such as pastry, baking, small business management, financial education and mentoring, equipping participants with essential tools to increase productivity and economic autonomy.

In the field of entrepreneurship, the initiative included the IMPACTAR project, whose mission is to finance dreams and turn ideas into sustainable businesses, with a special focus on young people, women and people with disabilities.

The training is nationwide, involving the different municipalities in the country, in a bid to decentralize social support and promote the sustainability of interventions. In Brava, 18 people took part.

According to Ana Pires, one of the trainers, the event went very well. "The training went very well, the objectives were achieved and we hope that the knowledge acquired will be put into practice, helping to improve the living conditions of the beneficiary families," she said.

Through MFIDS, the government reaffirms that training remains a fundamental pillar for promoting autonomy, social inclusion and the sustainable development of Cape Verdean families.
