Brava: Biflores Association calls participation in Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week "enriching"
The Biflores Association's terrestrial conservation technician, Carlos Bango, said today that his participation in the fifth Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week, held in Limassol (Cyprus), involving the exchange of experiences from various countries, was "enriching".

Carlos Bango stressed that the meeting was held from the 6th to the 11th of this month and said that it was an essential event for debate and action around the preservation of the ecosystem's biodiversity.
The activity is promoted in different countries every two years.
"During the event there were more than a hundred presentations covering various topics and our group also took on the topics of plant and habitat conservation, through an approach to combating invasive species, where we shared our experiences," he said.

According to him, the association's participation "is positive" as it will help to enrich the scientific base, but also to learn about similar contexts elsewhere. "The event was an exchange of scientific experiences carried out by the research center of universities and institutions that work with conservation, such as the Botanical Garden, and seed conservation, but also with various participants from civil society. The Cyprus meeting welcomed scientific communities from countries working on plant conservation in the Mediterranean, both from Europe and Africa.
