ESET promotes conversation with mothers from the educational community
The Eugénio Tavares Secondary School (ESET), in Brava, today held a round table discussion with the mothers of the school community, on "The challenges of raising children today".
Speaking to Inforpress, school principal Elisangela Pinheiro said that the event was part of the celebration of Mother's Day, which took place on the 11th of this month, remembering that the month is dedicated to mothers.
According to the same source, the aim of the talk is to promote the exchange of ideas, listen to each other, learn about the challenges and care that educators should take with their children.
The mother in charge of education, Arminda Moreira, in turn, considered that this exchange of experience was "very good", emphasizing that all the mothers have their own experiences in raising their children and that, by sharing ideas, they help each other.
The same source said that the initiative was "praiseworthy" and shouldn't just happen this month, but all the time, because raising children today is "a big challenge".
"In my case I have two strands in my children's education, the religious and society, because I educate my little boys in the light of the Bible and according to religion, but also preparing them for society, which is not easy now," he explained.
About education today and in the past, this mother stressed that many consider it to be different, but said that there have always been difficulties in education and it is up to those in charge to fight and find the best possible way to do so.
"Nowadays we have several difficulties and everything has challenges, so I appeal to all mothers to have the courage and patience to know how to deal with each obstacle," she concluded.
