In statements to Inforpress, business operator Benvindo Gomes pointed out that the ship Kriola has currently made its weekly connection as usual and has been bringing in goods that are supplying the stores.

However, he lamented the fact that the ship was only carrying a few pallets of merchandise and not a container that could supply the entire stock.

"For passengers, we can say that everything is fine, but for frozen goods we're having problems and now we have to wait for the ship 13 de Janeiro, which is a cargo ship and could bring more goods. They should authorize this ship to travel more often during the month and we wouldn't have food shortages on the island," he said.

Marco Giandinoto, who owns a hotel in Nova Sintra, stressed that the situation in the tourist area has not improved at the moment, given that tourists are still not trusting trips to Brava.

But he said he hoped that it would improve in the coming days and that the island would be able to receive tourists from all over.

"In recent days some groups of clients have come, but they complained about the difficulty of getting tickets to the island of Brava. I think that CV Interilhas needs to organize ticket sales better, because in Fogo they are buying all the tickets and we in Brava are losing out," he complained.

The tour operator also pointed out that Brava does not have an airport, so he suggested that the island should always have access to sea transport tickets.

"Most of the tickets to Praia-Fogo and vice versa are sold on the island of Fogo, which is unfair, because we don't have an airport and the only way to enter or leave the island is by sea, so I think the company should pay more attention to this issue," he concluded.

Housewives, heard by Inforpress, said that the situation of products in the stores has been returning to normal, although sometimes there are some items missing that if they are not found one day can be found later.
